Our story and values

Family-run. Child-centred. Community-minded.

We combine genuine football experience with professional childcare knowledge to help children feel confident, capable and included.

How Little Crocs began

Little Crocs started as an idea during Covid, when Sarah and Dom were furloughed. Dom had spent 15 years coaching his sons’ grassroots football teams, while both Sarah and Dom had built extensive careers working with children.

They brought those two worlds together to create the kind of coaching they believed young children deserved: welcoming, energetic and inclusive, with encouragement instead of pressure.

Where we are today

Little Crocs works with families, schools, nurseries, children’s centres, family hubs and community partners across South East London. We support children from their first steps through primary school, including children with SEND and families who may face barriers to taking part.

Because we are family-run, relationships matter to us. We get to know our children, communicate honestly with families and partners, and take pride in delivering consistently.

What we stand for

Values you can see in every session.

01

Every child belongs

Children should not have to be the fastest, loudest or most experienced to feel successful. We adapt activities, instructions and expectations so each child can join in.

02

Confidence before competition

We celebrate effort, courage and progress. Competition has a place, but never at the expense of enjoyment, self-belief or belonging.

03

Play with purpose

Our games are fun, but they also build coordination, communication, teamwork, resilience, listening and decision-making.

04

Safety is everyone’s responsibility

Safeguarding shapes how we recruit, plan, communicate and coach. All staff hold enhanced DBS checks and first aid training.

05

Families are partners

We listen, communicate clearly and welcome information that helps us understand and support each child.

06

Community matters

We build partnerships that bring high-quality physical activity closer to children and help reduce practical, financial or confidence barriers.

Our promise

Warm enough for children. Professional enough for partners.
